Amigo Point Of Sale includes an employee scheduler with the ability to copy a pre-defined weekly schedule many weeks in advance, minimizing the time required to perform routine scheduling tasks. The scheduler will work in conjunction with the soon to be released labor module, enable managers to easily restrict time clock activity, minimize overtime and adhere to strict labor cost budgets. The labor module will be available as a free update for all Amigo Point of Sale users.
In Back Office · Employees · Time Clock & Schedule, click the Scheduler shortcut. Minimize or hide the shortcuts bar to enlarge the viewing area.
Scheduler Day View - All Employees |
Employees are listed on the left side of the screen. Select a specific job type to filter the list. The Hour View filter enables the user to view employee hours for various time periods. The default view of the scheduler grid is Day View, where the selected day's schedule is shown. Columns may be dragged to the top of the schedule to group be employee, job type or shift.
Scheduler Week View - Selected Employee |
The weekly schedule for an individual employee is shown whenever an employee is selected from the list. The schedule can be generated for any week, past or present, by selecting a new date on the calendar.
Schedule Print Preview |
Various options are available for printing the schedule. The grid may be printed as shown or can be viewed in the Print Preview window before printing. The schedule grid is formatted for full size printers. In addition, individual employee schedules can be printed for any or all employees. Individual employee schedules are formatted for printing on the local receipt printer.
Add New Schedule Entry |
Adding a new schedule entry is simplified through the use of pre-defined shifts. When adding a new schedule entry, ensure that the employee has a least one job type defined or the entry cannot be added.
Edit Schedule Entry |
To modify an existing schedule entry, select the row and click the Edit Selected button.
Schedule Cloning |
To clone a schedule, click the Clone Schedule button and select the date range to clone from. You may also specify a specific job type if required. The schedule for the specified dates can be cloned from 1 to 52 weeks in the future. Schedule entry notes are not cloned by default. Check the Copy shift notes box to force schedule entry notes to be copied.
Shift Definitions |
Shift definitions are defined under the Settings tab. Enter new shift definitions on the top line, using 24-hour time format.
Scheduler Preferences |
Additional settings are located under the Preferences tab. Note that some settings are reserved for future use (with the Labor Module).
