Credit Card Processing Using MerchantWare© with Amigo Pos 7
MerchantWare is developed and supported by MerchantWarehouse and is included with Amigo Pos at no additional cost. A merchant account from Merchant Warehouse is required to use MerchantWare. Visit http://merchantwarehouse.com or call 1.800.670.1729 for additional information.
*Note: Amigo Pos does not accept compensation of any sort to include MerchantWare. It is included as a courtesy for Amigo Pos users that require a new merchant account and wish to avoid the expense and setup associated with PCCharge Payment Server or an external credit card pos station.
Many merchant account providers will supply and set up PCCharge Payment Server at low or no cost. Companies such as PPI will provide, install and configure PCCharge Payment Server at no cost. Unlike other Pos companies, Amigo Pos does not maintain a relationship with or accept remuneration from any merchant account provider or payment processor. PCCharge Payment Server offers the freedom to choose any payment processor.
Note: Amigo Pos does not prefer any specific merchant account provider or payment processor. You are encouraged to shop around and obtain the best rates and lowest fees possible.
MerchantWare is the transaction engine that handles all payment processing requests submitted by Amigo Pos. Amigo Pos is capable of processing credit/debit card transaction using MerchantWare v3.0 MerchantWare includes a web based gateway for account management. The gateway can also be used for reporting, settlement, maintenance, and transaction processing if needed.
MerchantWare must be configured and running before configuring Amigo Pos. In order to ensure that PC Payment Server is started automatically when Windows starts, add a shortcut to MerchantWare to your Startup folder (or add an entry to the registry). After you have obtained a merchant account, set up MerchantWare as described in the next help topic.

After MerchantWare is configured, the merchant account settings and communication parameters must be configured in Amigo Pos Back Office on each pos station
