Various shortcuts are available to customize the screen layout. The shortcut bar can be configured to show large buttons for easy access to shortcut groups, or can show small icons at the bottom of the shortcut bar.Tabbed dialogs. The shortcut and dashboard can be docked or minimized by using the pushpin buttons or can be completely hidden when displaying screens that appear best when fully maximized (such as the seating chart designer).

To delete the current user's saved settings, click Preferences on the top menu bar and select the settings to clear. Note that user interface settings are stored locally on each PC to account to different screen resolutions, whereas each user's grid customizations are stored in the database and are shared between terminals.

Since the order entry screen is a touchscreen application, it cannot be moved or resized. When using back office on a pc with a monitor running at greater than 800x600px resolution, it is sometimes helpful to move the order entry screen to the top left corner of the screen so that back office and the order entry screen may be viewed simultaneously while testing changes to the menu order other program settings. To move the order entry screen (or start screen) to the top left corner, click the arrow toolbar icon, as shown below. Click the button a second time to center the order entry screen.

Hint: Use the Instant Update button while testing to synchronize the database without requiring the user to login.
