v4 How do I change an employee`s USER ID?

 

This article applies to Amigo Point Of Sale v4

Changing an employees USER ID is not recommended for the following reasons:

  • Active and closed guest checksare tracked by USER ID (as well as other indices)
  • Time card entries are tracked by USER ID
  • Messages are tracked by USER ID
  • Operations are tracked by USER ID

As an alternative to changing the USER ID, you should disable (NOT delete) the USER ID and create a new employee with a different USER ID.
