v4 How do I reset the starting ticket number?

 

This article applies to Amigo Point Of Sale v4

A new feature (v4.62+) in Back Office makes it easy to reset your starting ticket number. After logging in, open BACK OFFICE and select TOOLS - RESET STARTING TICKET NUMBER.

The only constraints on the starting ticket number are (a) it must be at least 100000 and (b) it must be greater than the ticket number of the last ticket created and closed before the drawer was last reset. Note that all active checks (checks that were not closed before the last drawer reset) will be deleted when resetting the starting ticket number. As an added measure of safety, a backup of your database will be created automatically before the reset operation is performed.
